Development of a variance model for the prediction of water absorption and thickness swelling for an experimental design pvc reinforced composite pipes

Water absorption is a significant constraint encountered when NFs reinforce polymer matrices. It the primary cause of breakdown fibre-matrix interface, resulting in swelling fibres, loss efficiency load transfer between matrix and ultimately reduction strength stiffness composites. This study investigated development variance model for predicting water thickness an experimental design Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) reinforced composite pipes. The quadratic was used to influence process factors (independent variables) on responses (i.e., swelling). Statistical analysis data carried out by fitting chosen estimate unknown parameters. results revealed that characterised high R2 value, indicating perfect fit observations predictions. value variation coefficient 3.320, which means precision reliability model. tests as function independent showed increasing level PVC material resulted decrease capacity material. desirable since excellent pipe should resist moisture intrusion.
